Welcome to the Growlery, home of low-key complaints.  If there is something minor and petty getting on your nerves, tell me about it and I'll sympathize.

You know what I hate?  Vacuuming the house.  It makes all the depressive, violent parts of my nature come to the surface.  Other little tasks, I don't mind.  It's even kind of fun cleaning the bathtub, and I positively like shopping for groceries.  But ask me to do the floors, and I will first put it off for two hours and then storm around the house vacuuming while I think about stupid arguments I came off worst in ten years ago and tell myself what I should have said if I'd only thought fast enough.  My back muscles bunch themselves up and life feels nasty, brutish and short.

I have to reward myself with promises that I'll do fun stuff when I've got all the vacuuming done.  Presently the vacuum is packed away, the dull roaring sound is silenced, and I have eaten a cookie and some vanilla yogurt and later on I'll go to the gym and watch TV.  Life is good again.
