Books and magazines: haul post

Think of this as the equivalent of the mall-shoppers' haul posts on YouTube.  You're only lucky I haven't taken a photo of my loot, too.

So I spent an unconscionable amount of money on books at the dealers' room at Readercon.  Here's what I bought:

Here's what I propose: I'll read all this stuff and review it on here.  Yes, this is a mad rush of enthusiasm brought on by Readercon.  However, that doesn't make it a bad idea.  I've just been thinking about how I enjoy reading other people's reviews (and rushthatspeaks  is in the process of writing 365 book reviews in the course of a year, which has been consistently engaging reading).  I enjoy reviews when I write them, and it makes me happy to refer potential readers to a book I think they will like.  An excuse to do it more often is welcome--and I'm unusually idle right now, so why not?  I hereby pledge that I'll finish every book and magazine, unless I find it really boring or off-putting, and that I'll review all the books here, unless I hate one or another so much that I couldn't find anything at all to value about it.  There.  An excellent plan, and one with no time limit and a lot of wiggle room.  Just what I like.
